Cilvēciskās kaislības romiešu mīlas elēģijā: Ovidijs un Propercijs

Abstract

Bakalaura darba Cilvēciskās kaislības romiešu mīlas elēģijā: Ovidijs un Propercijs mērķis ir izpētīt valodas līdzekļus, ar kuriem Propercijs un Ovidijs pauž cilvēciskās kaislības mīlas elēģijās, un atklāt abu autoru attieksmi pret kaislībām. Darbā tiek risināti jautājumi par kaislību jēdziena izpratni antīkajā pasaulē un kā tās izpaužas Propercija un Ovidija mīlas elēģijās. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek skaidrota kaislības jēdziena izpratne, tiek parādīta antīko filozofu attieksme pret kaislībām, un, dažu filozofu teoriju piemēros, arī kaislību sistematizācija. Līdztekus tiek sniegta svarīga darba mērķim informācija par romiešu mīlas elēģijas žanra īpatnībām, kā arī vēsturiski politiskā konteksta apskats. Praktiskajā daļā ir apskatīti atsevišķi kaislību veidi Propercija un Ovidija mīlas elēģiju kontekstā un tiek veikta šo kaislību veidu analīze. Pētījumā ir analizēti fragmenti no Propercija un Ovidija mīlas elēģijām, kur šie abi autori pauž kaislības.

The aim of the Bachelor’s Thesis Human passions in Roman love elegy: Ovid and Propertius is to investigate the means of language by which Propertius and Ovid express human passions in the Love Elegies, and to expose those two authors’ attitude to passions. In the research questions are resolved about the passions definition`s understanding in the Ancient world and how they are expressed in the love elegies of Propertius and Ovid. Theoretical part consists of three chapters where the concepts of passion are investigated, the attitude of ancient philosophers to passions is shown, and according to certain philosophers’ theories, the systematization of passions is given. Also there are shown the most important facts about the genre of Roman love elegy and the review of the historical context. In the practical part, certain types of passions in the context of the love elegies of Propertius and Ovid are explored. In this research, fragments from the love elegies of Propertius and Ovid are analysed, where those two authors express passions.
