Humors, ironija un satīra “Atskaņu hronikas” V. Bisenieka tulkojumā

Abstract

Maģistra darba pētījuma avots ir “Vecākā Livonijas atskaņu (rīmju) hronika” (vāc.: Älteste Livländische Reimchronik), kas uzrakstīta vidusaugšvācu valodā Latvijas teritorijā 13. gadsimta beigās, un līdzās “Livonijas Indriķa hronikai” ir viens no galvenajiem avotiem par šī laika vēstures notikumiem. Maģistra darba mērķis – salīdzināt humoru, ironiju un satīru avottekstā un šo epizožu atainojumu pēdējā tulkojumā latviešu valodā, kuru 1998. gadā veica Valdis Bisenieks. Pētījuma gaitā ir aplūkots humora, ironijas un satīras jēdziens no Aristoteļa laikiem līdz mūsdienām, tiks pievērsta uzmanība viduslaiku cilvēka mentalitātei un veikts smieklīga salīdzinājums avotā un tā tulkojumā.

The main source used in this research is the Livonian Rhymed Chronicle (German: Älteste Livländische Reimchronik) that was written in High German around the end of the 13th century. Along with the Chronicle of Henry of Livonia it is the most imortant source about the early history of Livonia. The purpose of this master’s thesis is to compare humour, irony and satire in the source text with the respective Latvian translation made by Valdis Bisenieks in 1998. This research will also cover the definitions of humour, irony and satire from the times of Aristotle to the present day. The emphasis will be put on medieval mentality and that will allow to understand the aspects of laughter in the medieval source text and to make comparisons between the source text and the translation.
