Latgaliešu folkloras interpretācija un pētniecība trimdā

Abstract

Latgaliešu trimdā pēc Otrā pasaules kara ar lielu vērienu tika vākta, apkopota, pētīta folklora, tas bija arī viens no nemainīgi populārākajiem motīviem literatūrā un mākslā visā trimdas periodā no 1945. līdz 1991. gadam, bet līdz šim maz pētīts. Maģistra darba mērķis ir atklāt latgaliešu folkloras interpretācijas īpatnības trimdā, kas ir cieši saistītas ar etnisko identitāti, kā arī izsekot līdzi folkloras vākšanas un pētniecības attīstībai. Vladislava Lōča “Latgaļu izdevnīceibas” paspārnē iznākušajā periodikā, zinātniskajos rakstos un monogrāfijās iespējams izsekot šī procesa attīstībai, bet literatūras un vizuālās mākslas piemēru analīze atklāj tipizētus tēlus, kas funkcionē kā apstiprinājumi latgaliskajai identitātei, kas ir samērā pretrunīga tai, kāda patiesībā bija trimdas latgaliešu vidū. Darbs tiecas atklāt panorāmisku skatu uz folkloras interpretāciju un pētniecību cēloņsakarībā ar etniskās identitātes veidošanās procesu.

After the Second World War, folklore was being collected, summarized and researched on a large scale within the Latgalian exile. It was also one of the most consistently popular motives in literature and art during the whole period of exile from year 1945 till 1991, although not studied widely until now. The aim of the Masters’ thesis is to reveal the peculiarities of the Latgalian folklore during exile, which are closely connected with its ethnic identity, as well as to track the development of collection and research of folklore. It is possible to track the aforementioned development in the periodicals, produced under the auspices of Vladislavs Locis’ “Latgalians’ Publishing”, however, the case studies of literature and visual arts reveal typified characters that function as a confirmation of Latgalian identity, which is, at the same time, quite controversial to the true identity of Latgalians in exile. The thesis aims to reveal a panoramic view on the interpretation and research of folklore in relation to the formation process of ethnic identity.
