Izmaiņas ASV lielpilsētu sabiedrības dzīvesveidā 20.gs.20.gados: Ņūorleānas piemērs

Abstract

Šī darba mērķis ir konstatēt un analizēt galvenos politiskos, ekonomiskos un sociālos faktorus, kas noteica sabiedrības dzīvesveida maiņu 20. gadsimta. 20. gados ASV lielpilsētās, kā arī iespējami vispusīgi raksturot būtiskākās izmaiņas sabiedrības dzīvesveidā, ko šie faktori izraisīja, aplūkojot kā piemēru Ņūorleānas gadījumu. 1920. gadi tiek raksturoti kā politiska konservatīvisma, materiālisma un hedonisma laikmets ASV. Politikā dzīvesveida maiņu ietekmē vēlēšanu tiesību piešķiršana sievietēm un Sausais likums. Ekonomikā materiālās labklājības pieaugums sekmēja patērētāju dzīvesveida attīstīšanos. Būtiskākās izmaiņas piedzīvoja tieši sieviešu dzīvesveids, ko manifestēja 1920.gadu jaunā sieviete – flapere. 1920.gadus pasvītroja džeza mūzikas attīstība, radās jaunas izklaides formas, izmaiņas starp personu komunikācijas veidā. Tomēr modernitāte 1920.gados kā pretstats tradīcijai radīja iekšēju konfliktu.

The aim of this work is to identify and analyze the political, economic, and social factors which led to the changes in society‘s lifestyle during the 1920s in the cities of USA. As well as to describe comprehensively the most important changes in society‘s lifestyle caused by these factors, taking a closer look to the case of New Orleans. The 1920s was characterized as era of political conservatism, materialism and hedonism in the United States. In politics changes of lifestyle is affected by the the rights to vote for women and prohibition. In economics - material welfare growth contributed to the development of consumer lifestyle. Women experienced the most significant changes of lifestyle, what has manifested by the New Woman of 1920s - the Flapper. The 1920s was marked by the development of jazz; there was new forms of entertainment and changes in interpersonal communication. However, as opposed to the tradition, modernity in the 1920s led to internal conflict.
