Patības hermeneitika Mišela Fuko Platona darbu interpretācijā

Abstract

Šī darba tēmas problemātika izvērš Mišela Fuko patības hermeneitikas izpratni, kuras skaidrošanai tiek izmantota Fuko atsaukšanās uz Platonu, īpaši izceļot tekstus ‘’Alkibiads I’’ un ‘’Lahēts’’, kuros Fuko uzrāda pašrūpes un parrēsijas konceptu nozīmi. Tiek pētīts, kā šie koncepti saprotami kā praktiski vingrinājumi un kāda ir to saistība ar individuāli praktizētu dzīvi ētikas kontekstā. Līdz ar to šī darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādā veidā Fuko interpretē Platona tekstos sastopamos jēdzienus pašrūpe un parrēsija, lai piedāvātu patības hermeneitiku kā ētikas metodi, kas uzsver indivīda aktivitātes saistību ar pieredzi. Tiek izskatīts, vai pēc Fuko izteikumiem ir iespējams spriest, ka patības hermeneitika Fuko filozofijā nav jāsaprot tikai kā konkrētas prakses noteiktās ētikas tradīcijās, bet arī kā metode, ko Fuko piedāvā indivīdam un ar kuras palīdzību veikt nepārtrauktu sevis izziņu, lai veidotu sevi. Šāda izpratne tiek saistīta ar specifisku Fuko Platona Sokrata interpretāciju.

This research elaborates on Michel Foucault’s account of hermeneutics of the self. To expound this concept it studies how Foucault refers to Plato, especially accenting two of his texts – Alcibiades I and Laches, which are notable for two concepts – parrhesia and the care of the self. It is considered how these concepts can be understood as practical exercises and how they are related to individually practiced life in the context of ethics. Thus, the aim of this study is to establish in what way Foucault interprets these concepts in Plato’s work so he could propose a hermeneutics of the self as a method of ethics that stresses the activity of individuals who are connected to their experience. It is examined if, according to Foucault’s statements, it is possible to deliberate that the hermeneutics of the self is not to be considered just as concrete praxes in certain traditions of ethics, but also as a method Foucault comes forward with and that helps someone to perform a continuing work of getting to know himself or herself in order to form their individual selves. This conclusion is connected to a specific Foucault’s interpretation of Plato’s Socrates.
