Simulakrs, simulācija un hiperrealitāte – postmoderna sociālā kritika Čaka Palanjuka romānā „Cīņas klubs”

Abstract

Maģistra darbs pēta jēdzienus simulakrs, simulācija un hiperrealitāte postmodernajā filozofijas teorijā un intelektuālajā literatūrā, un tā mērķis ir izpētīt ar interpretējošo teksta analīzi, kā šīs idejas tiek izmantotas Čaka Palanjuka romānā “Cīņas klubs” kā postmodernās sociālās kritikas līdzekli. Pētījums demonstrē vairāku mūsdienu sabiedrības aspektu, īpašību, problēmu un sociokultūras prakses kritikas izpausmes, kas ir ietverti šo trīs jēdzienu izmantošanā naratīvā. Tika secināts, ka romāna varoņi ķērās pie dažāda veida simulācijas savā “cīņā” pret šīm problēmām.

The Master thesis studies the notions of simulacrum, simulation, and hyperreality in postmodern philosophical theory and intellectual literature, and its goal is to explore through the interpretative textual analysis how these ideas are employed as means of postmodern social criticism in Chuck Palahniuk’s novel “Fight Club”. The research demonstrates various manifestations of critique of various aspects, issues and socio-cultural practices of modern society that are embodied in the use of these three concepts in the narrative. It was concluded that the characters in the novel resort to various forms of simulation in their “fight” against these issues.
