Abstract

Bakalaura darbā tēma ir “Ticība un tirdzniecība Ķīnas un Rietumu civilizācijas saskarēs: jezuītu misijas vēsture Ķīnā laika posmā no 16. Līdz 18.gadsimtam”. Moderno laiku sākumā Eiropas ekonomiskie, sociālie un politiskie apstākļi mudināja eiropiešus doties tālajās zemēs, izplatot savu ietekmi visā Pasaulē un saskaroties ar iepriekš nezināmām kultūrām. Šī darba mērķis ir pastāstīt par eiropiešu un ķīniešu kontaktu iemesliem, apstākļiem un rezultātiem, īpaši pievēršot uzmanību jezuītu misijas gaitām Ķīnā. Tēmas izvēle ir pamatota ar to, ka saskarsme starp ļoti atšķirīgām kultūrām, sevišķi reliģijas kontekstā, vienmēr bija aktuāla tēmu cilvēces vēsturē. Darbs sastāv no 47.lapaspusēm un ir sadalīts 4.daļās.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is “Religion and Trade in Contacts Between Chinese and Western Civilizations: the History of the Jesuit’s Mission in China from 16th to 18th Century”. At the beginnings of the modern times Europe’s economical, social and political conditions urged europeans to leave for far lands extending their influence on the whole world. The aim of this work is to tell about the causes, circumstances and results of the Chinese’ and Europeans’ contacts, especially paying attention to the jesuits’ missionary activities in China. The choice of this topic is based on the fact, that communication between very different cultures, especially in religious context, always had been an actual topic within the history of the mankind. The work consists of 47 pages and divided in 4 parts.
