Sterilizēšanas programmas efektivitāte ielas kaķu skaita kontrolei Rīgā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba ietvaros tika apskatīti un analizēti dažādi literatūras avoti par Latvijas un ārvalstu pieredzi iela kaķu populācijas mazināšanā un to skaita kontrolē. Pētījuma gaitā tika veiktas dažādu Rīgas apkaimju iedzīvotāju aptaujas, ar kuru palīdzību tika noteikta iedzīvotāju attieksme pret ielas kaķiem un to nodarīto kaitējumu apkārtējai videi. Tika apsekotas desmit Rīgas apkaimes, kurās tika uzskaitīta sterilizēto un nesterilizēto dzīvnieku attiecība. Iegūtie dati tika apstrādāti MS Excel, kā arī tika veidots kartogrāfiskais materiāls, izmantojot programmatūru ArcMap. Darbs sastāv no teorētiskās un praktiskās daļas aprakstiem. Within the framework of the Bachelor’s paper, various sources of both Latvian and foreign literature were studied to analyse experiences of various countries in controllinh and reducing the stray cat’s populations in cities. In the course of the research surveys were conducted among residents of different districts of Riga in order to determine the resident’s attidtudes towards the stray cats and the damage that is done to the environment by the cats. Ten districts in Riga were surveyed and the ratio of neutered cats and those not neutered was counted. The collected data was then processed using MS Excel and cartographic material was created using ArcMap software. The thesis consists of descriptions of theoretical data and practical work. The thesis consists of 7 chapters and 4 annexes. Key words: stray cat, neutering, the city of Riga, districts of Riga, stray animals.
