Sociālās telpas Frica Langa filmā “Metropolis”

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir sociālās telpas Frica Langa filmā Metropolis. Filma uzņemta 1927. gadā Vācijā. Vācu mēmā kino filma ir veidota ekspresionisma stilā, scenārijs stāsta par divām sabiedrības daļām, kas ir viena no otras atdalītas. Tajā parādītas visas tās problēmas, ar ko saskarās šie cilvēki. Bakalaura darba galvenie mērķi ir pierādīt, kā šī sašķeltā sabiedrība tiek sadalīta klasēs. Metropolis sabiedrība tika analizēta balstoties uz filmas ainām. Analīzē ietverta abu klašu ikdienas dzīve- Luxus klase un strādnieku klase. Bakalaura darba autores viens no mērķiem ir saskatīt masas simboliku strādnieku klasē. Kādas filmas ainas šo simboliku pierāda. Darbā analizēti cilvēki, kas dara automatizētu mašīnu darbu. Apskatīta filmas tapšanas vēsture un tās atjaunošana. The title of the following bachelor thesis is, “social spaces in Fritz Lang’s film Metropolis”. It is a German silent film in the style of expressionism, shot in 1927. The film is split into two segments of society that are separate from each other. It includes many challenges that the character encounter. The main objective of this film, is to show how the society of Metropolis is divided into layers and what specific features can be seen within the class of workers. The split society will be analysed according to the scenes of the film. This analysis will cover the everyday life of both classes. The class of workers will be further explored to determine the symbolism proved in many scenes including the masses and the machine men. The author's purpose is to show what the manifestations prove in the film. There will also be discussion of biblical symbols in the film and their significance in referring to previous film problems, taking into account the mentioned problems that will be studied at work. In the end, it will be possible to see a precise analysis of the exact difference between these societies. Furthermore, when summarizing the whole, the author will relook her research problems and come to conclusions.
