Korejiešu valodā sastopamo ideofonu pazīmes

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba tēma ir “Korejiešu valodā sastopamo ideofonu īpašības”.Ideofoni jeb vārdi apveltīti ar skaņu simboliskām īpašībām veido lielu daļu korejiešu valodas vārdu krājuma. Ideofonu referenti līdzinās valodas zīmei, kas to paskaidro, tādēļ tie ir jāpēta un jāanalizē no skaņu simbolisma teorijas skatpunkta. Ferdinanda de Sosīra valodas zīmes patvaļīguma teorijas popularitātes dēļ ideofonu izpēte 20. gadsimtā bija lielākoties atstāta novārtā vai arī veikta no morfoloģiskā nevis fonosemantiskā skatpunkta. Šajā darbā tiek pievērsta uzmanība korejiešu valodā sastopamo ideofonu pazīmēm un to sistemātiski semantiskajai dabai. Darba mērķiirapkopot aktuālo informāciju par skaņu simbolisma teoriju un korejiešu valodā sastopamajiem ideofoniem, noskaidrot to īpašības un sistematizēt tās, un, atbilstoši svarīgākajām korejiešu ideofonu pazīmēm, apskatīt ideofonu piemērus un analizēt to uzbūvi no galvenokārt semantiskā, bet arī morfoloģiskā un fonētiskā aspekta. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no trim daļām. Pirmajā daļā ir apkopota informācija par terminoloģiju un skaņu simbolisma teoriju, piedāvājot aktuālo jēdzienu tulkojumus un definīcijas latviski. Otrajā daļā tiek apskatīta korejiešu valodas fonoloģija un ideofoni kā korejiešu valodas sastāvdaļa. Trešajā daļā tiek aprakstītas trīs svarīgākās korejiešu ideofonu pazīmes, kā arī tiek piedāvāti un sīkāk analizēti konkrētu ideofonu piemēri. Bakalaura darbā tika secināts, ka galvenās korejiešu ideofonu pazīmes ir to pakļaušanās patskaņu harmonijai, līdzskaņu mijai un reduplikācijai.

The topic of this bachelor’s thesis is “Characteristics of Korean Ideophones”. Ideophones are sound symbolic words, and they make up a large portion of Korean vocabulary. The referents of ideophones resemble their linguistic sign, therefore they should be researched and analyzed from the perspective of sound symbolism theory. Because of the popularity of Ferdinand de Saussures’ theory of the arbitrariness of the linguistic sign, research of ideophones during the 20th century was either neglected, or done from a morphologic, instead of a phonosemantic viewpoint. This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the characteristics of Korean ideophones and their systematically semantic nature. The main goals of this thesis are to collect topical information on the theory of sound symbolism and Korean ideophones, determine their main characteristics and systematize them, to examine specific examples of Korean ideophones and, according to the main characteristics, analyze the structure of ideophones from mostly a semantic, but also a morphological and phonetic perspective as well. The thesis is divided into three main parts. In the first part the main information on terminology and theory of sound symbolism is summarized and the important terms are translated and defined in Latvian.The second part of the thesis examines the phonology of the Korean language and focuses on ideophones as part of the Korean lexicon. In the third part of the thesis the main characteristics of ideophones are described and examples of Korean ideophones are presented and analyzed in further detail. In conclusion, the main characteristics of Korean ideophones are their ability to undergo change according to the processes of vowel harmony, consonant mutation and reduplication.
