“Locus amoenus” Ovidija “Metamorfozēs”

Abstract

Bakalaura darba Locus amoenus Ovidija poēmā Metamorfozes mērķis ir noteikt poēmā Metamorfozes iekļauto locus amoenus konceptam atbilstošo tekstvietu funkcionālitāti darba mīta izklāsta kontekstā. Darbā tiek apskatīta locus amoenus elementu simboliskā iekļaušana Ovidija mīta varianta izklāstā un to sastādošo leksēmu kvalitatīva analīze. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek skaidrots topogrāfijas jēdziens rētorikas un literatūrzinātnes kontekstā, kā arī apskatītas dažādas topos jeb loci variācijas abās disciplīnās. Tādējādi tiek veidota izpratne par locus amoenus koncepcijas rašanos, un tiek veikts ieskats Ovidija priekšgājēju gleznaino dabas ainavu aprakstīšanas tehnikā, to funkcijās darba ietvaros. Praktiskajā daļā tiek veikta Ovidija daiļrades mitoloģiskā materiāla iepazīšana, kvantitatīvi un kvalitatīvi apskatītas poēmā Metamorfozes atrodamo locus amoenus konceptam atbilstošo tekstvietu leksēmas, tiek analizēta to iekļaušanās mīta simboliskā satura veidošanā. Pētījumā ir atlasītas darbā Metamorfozes iekļautās locus amoenus tekstvietas, kuras atbilst pētnieces zinātniskajā literatūrā atrastajai definīcijai un pētnieciskajam mērķim.

The aim of the Bachelor’s thesis Locus amoenus in Ovid’s Metamorphoses is to determine the funcionality of passages, which are in accordance with the concept of locus amoenus in the poem Metamorphoses and define their correspondence with mythological material found in the poem. Research deals with the mythological aspect of locus amoenus by comparing component lexemes of locus amoenus to context of Ovidian myth. Theoretical part of thesis consists of four chapters which deal with such terms as topography, topos, loci in the context of literary studies and rhetoric, also their variations in both disciplines. Therefore explaining the historical aspects and concept of locus amoenus and it’s component lexemes, assuring better understanding of this concept. The practical part compiles the acquainted mythological material of Ovid’s poem Metamorphoses in the context of quantitative and qualitative examination of lexemes in locus amoenus passages. By analyzing the lexemes researcher anticipated to detect coherence between lexical material in passages and Ovidian myth. The practical part of the research is based upon select passages, which are in accordance with the definition of locus amoenus found in scientific literature selected by the researcher.
