Latvijas izglītības sistēmas reforma ir izvirzījusi mērķi ieviest izmaiņas mācību procesā, novēršot sadrumstalotību un īpaši centrējot mācību procesu uz skolēnu vajadzībām, tādējādi vienlaikus veicinot caurviju prasmju apguvi, kuras ir svarīgi apgūt ikkatram skolēnam, lai nākotnē kļūtu par veiksmīgu 21. gadsimta sabiedrības pārstāvi. Šī pētījuma uzdevums ir izpētīt Valdorfa pedagoģijas stratēģijas, kuras izmanto spāņu valodas, kā svešvalodas, apguvē iesācēju līmenī un noskaidrot vai šīs stratēģijas papildina kompetenču izglītības pieeju mācību procesā. Pēc pētījuma veikšanas var secināt, ka dažādas Valdorfa pedagoģijas darbā izmantotas stratēģijas un konkrētas aktivitātes, to skaitā: dziesmas, ludziņas, dzeja, spēles, pantomīma, kopēja pantu deklamēšana un citas, var tikt izmantotas kompetenču izglītības modeļa ietvaros, mācot skolēniem spāņu valodu no iesācēju līmeņa. Valdorfa pedagoģijas elementu izmantošana atvieglo jaunā mācību modeļa ieviešanu un to papildina. Darbā izmantotas kvalitatīvās pētījuma metodes, tajā skaitā aprakstošā metode un situācijas izpēte. The reform of the educational system in Latvia demands to introduce changes in the process of teaching as well as learning making it less fragmented, more coherent and student-centred simultaneously facilitating the acquisition of transversal competences that are essential for students to become full-fledged members of the 21st century society. The main focus of the present research is to investigate the strategies and activities of Waldorf pedagogy used in teaching Spanish as a foreign language at beginners’ level and to clarify if these activities and strategies aid the competence based education approach. After carrying out the investigation it can be concluded that a variety of activities pertinent to Waldorf pedagogy including songs, drama, poetry, games, imitative body movements and coral repetitions, among others, can be applied to competence based education for students of Spanish as a foreign language, even easing the introduction process of the reformed system and complementing it. In the present study have been used the following qualitative research methods: descriptive method and a case study.
