Thesis of bachelor's research are based on the Biblical texts: “Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am Jehovah your God.” (Exodus 20:7) and “Because it is written, Ye shall be holy; for I am holy.” (1. Peter 1:16) And the adaptation of this text to the era of the Reformation as well as before the reformation of the theological dispute. Thesis first explores how Lutheran teachings and practices regarding sanctification reflect Martin Luther's writings and, in particular, the Book of Consensus. Similarly, Martin Luther's classical doctrine of justification, mercy and sanctification is also briefly dealt with, as well as explanation and teaching from other theologians on the same subject, and the teachings/doctrines and beliefs expressed in the New Testament. The author will also attempt to indicate some derogations from Martin Luther, if any.
