Abstract

Pavisam briesmīgā “Jaunā avīze”. Skrejlapa par bada katastrofu Kurzemes hercogistē 17. gadsimta sākumā. Maģistra darbs. Autore Māra Kairiša, darba vadītāja Dr. phil. Darbā tiek aprakstīta un analizēta situācija senās Livonijas teritorijā, Latvijas un Vācijas sociālās attiecības 17.gadsimta sākumā, bada katastrofa un kanibālisms, informācijas nodošana agrīnajā mūsdienu periodā un galvenā avota teksta valodas iezīmes, pētot vācu mācītāja Frīdriha Engelkena 1602.gadā rakstītu tekstu par notikumiem Kurzemes hercogistē, kur viņš pildīja mācītāja pienākumus. Raksts tika izdots skrejlapas veidā Vācijā 1603.gadā. Darbā atbildētie jautājumi: 1. Kādi vēsturiskie notikumi noveda pie bada katastrofas Latvijas teritorijā (Kurzemes hercogistē) 17. gadsimta sākumā? 2. Kā tika izplatītas ziņas 17. gadsimta sākumā? Kā ir radušās skrejlapas? 3. Vai aprakstīto notikumu var uzskatīt par kanibālismu? 4. Kādā vēsturiskajā valodas attīstības periodā teksts ir iedalāms? Tika secināts, ka pie bada katastrofas noveda kari Latvijas teritorijā, precīzāk, zviedru-poļu karš, kā rezultātā zemniekiem nebija pārtikas, kas, iespējams, bija iemesls cilvēku gaļas lietošanai pārtikā. 27 no 28 skrejlapā aprakstītajiem gadījumiem ir kanibālisms. Sakarā ar grāmatu drukas atklāšanu 1450.gadā, informācijas izplatīšana bija kļuvusi ērtāka, pieejamāka un lētāka, tāpēc skrejlapas bija viens no veidiem ātri izplatīt informāciju. Teksts iedalāms agrīnā mūsdienu augšvācu valodas vai jaunās augšvācu valodas stadijā, taču tajā novērojamas arī senākās vācu valodas attīstības perioda iezīmes.

Quite a dreadful “New newspaper”. A leaflet on the hunger catastrophe in the dutchy of Kurland at the beginning of the 17. century. Master thesis. Author Māra Kairiša, Dr. phil. Dzintra Lele-Rozentāle, scientific adviser Dr. phil Manfred von Boetticher. The thesis describes and analyses the situation in the old Livonian territory, the social relations of Latvia and Germany in the beginning of 17.th century, hunger catastrophy and cannibalism, the exchange of information in the early modern period and the main features of the source text. It is done by analyzing a text written by a german priest Friedrich Engelken in 1602 about the events in the Duchy of Courland, wehre he lived at the time. It was published in the form of a leaflet in Germany in 1603. The following questions that are answered in the Thesis: 1. Why did this historical event of a hunger catastrophe happened in the territorium of Latvia in the 17th century? 2. How were news at the beginning of the 17th century spread? 3. Does the described cases can be considered cannibalism? 4. In which period of German language development does the source text can be categorized? It was concluded that wars in the territory of Latvia, more precisely, the Swedish-Polish war led to the famine disaster, as a result of which the peasants had a lack of food, which probably led to the consumption of human meat. 27 of the 28 cases described in the flyer are cannibalism. Due to the discovery of letter press in 1450, distribution of information was made more convenient, affordable and more efficient, so flyers were one of the ways to quickly disseminate information. The text is categorized as an early new high German, but it shows the features of Middle High German as well.
