Kulturālā dzimtes ideoloģija un attieksmes pret feminismu Latvijā

Abstract

Maģistra darbs ir veltīts feminisma un sieviešu iespēju veicināšanās publiskajam diskursam ar atsauci uz kulturālo dzimtes ideoloģiju Latvijā no 1985.gada līdz 2004.gadam. Darbs fokusējas uz ilgtermiņa situācijas, kad pēcpadomju sabiedrība uztver feminisma un dzimtes idejas kritiski negatīvajā veidā, pamatojumu. Pētījuma teorētiskā daļa iztirzā sieviešu emancipācijas un feminisma vēsturisko ģenealoģiju Latvijā un analizē šis negatīvās attieksmes pret feministiskām teorijām un mērķiem iemeslus. Maģistra darbs izmeklē veidus, kādos feminisma idejām naidīgie vai to kritizējošie diskursi tika veidoti pēcsociālistiskajā nācijas un valsts atjaunošanās kontekstā. Darbs ir veikts, pielietojot starpdisciplināro metodi, kas ietver sevī dzimtes analīzes, sieviešu vēstures, feminisma kritikas, pēcsociālisma un pēcpadomju izpētes, kritiskā diskursa analīzes metodes. Pētījuma rezultāti var tikt izmantoti turpmākajā dzimumu vienlīdzības un sieviešu emancipācijas Latvijā domāšanās un izpētes attīstībā, tādējādi bagātinot zināšanas par Latvijas nacionālo un valsts attīstību.

Master’s thesis is dedicated to the public discourse of feminism and women’s empowerment with reference to the cultural ideology of gender in Latvia from 1985 until 2004. It focuses on the argument of the long-term situation when a post-Soviet society perceives ideas of feminism and gender in a critically negative way. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses the historical genealogy of women’s emancipation and feminism in Latvia and analyses the reasons of this negative attitude towards feminist theories and aims. The thesis examines the ways in which discourses, hostile or critical of feminist ideas were shaped up in the post-socialist context of nation - and state-rebuilding process. The study is conducted using an interdisciplinary approach that includes gender analysis, women’s history, feminist critique, post-socialist and post-Soviet studies, critical discourse analysis approach. Results of this study can be useful in further thinking and research development of gender equality and women’s emancipation in Latvia, thus enriching knowledge about Latvian national and state development.
