Subtitru tulkošanas īpatnības

Abstract

Šajā maģistra darbā ir pētītas subtitru tulkošanas īpatnības un analizēts autora veikts subtitru tulkojums. Analizētie piemēri ir grupēti pēc izlaistās informācijas rakstura. Darbā ilustrētas teorētiskās atziņas par subtitru tulkošanu, kā arī, balstoties autora darba pieredzi, interviju ar „SDI Media Latvia” redaktori Lailu Moreinu un uzņēmumā izmantotajām vadlīnijām, aprakstīta praktiskā subtitru tulkošanas situācija Latvijā. Darba nobeigumā ir apskatāmi analizētie subtitru tulkošanas piemēri; 2. pielikumā ir 605. subtitru tulkojums.

This paper aims to research the peculiarities of subtitle translation, as well as analyze subtitle translation conducted by the author of this paper. The analyzed examples are grouped according to the nature of the information omitted. The paper contains theoretical insight into subtitle translation, as well as the description of the existing situation in subtitle translation in Latvia based on the author’s own experience, the interview with editor at “SDI Media Latvia” Laila Moreina and the translation guidelines employed by the company. The final chapter of the paper contains examples of the translated subtitles and their analysis; the second annex contains the translation of 605 subtitles.
