Promocijas darbā „Latviešu literatūras didaktika: vēsturiskā pieredze” pētīta latviešu literatūras didaktikas attīstības vēsture un atklātas literatūras didaktikas attīstības likumības, kuras integrētas literatūras didaktikas procesā mūsdienās. Analizējot publikācijās un Latvijas Valsts vēstures arhīva, Latvijas Valsts arhīva dokumentos pieejamās latviešu literatūras didaktiķu atziņas, apzināta un pirmo reizi vienotā sistēmā izpētīta latviešu literatūras vēsturiskā didaktikas pieredze, izvērtētas latviešu literatūras didaktikas būtiskās atziņas gan konkrēta laikmeta, gan mūsdienu literatūras mācību procesa nodrošinājuma kontekstā. Vēsturiskās pieredzes un didaktikas teoriju analīzē pamatoti ieteikumi mūsdienu literatūras didaktikas attīstībai.

The Thesis “Didactics of Latvian Literature: Historical Experience” presents a study of the historical development of the didactics of Latvian literature and reveals the development regularities of literature didactics which have been integrated into the process of literature didactics today. By analyzing the conceptions of the experts of Latvian literature didactics available in publications, the documents of the Latvian State Historical Archives and the State Archives of Latvia, the historical experience of the didactics of Latvian literature has been researched for the first time in a united system; the relevant conceptions of the didactics of Latvian literature have been evaluated in the context of both the specific period and the provision of the study process of modern literature. In the analysis of historical experience and didactic theories recommendations for the development of contemporary literature didactics have been substantiated.
