ABSTRACT
The dissertation is based on findings of enduring research that have been made
using methods of geospatial analysis, statistical processing of data and generally
established glaciomorphologic field and Quaternary sediment research. This has enabled to
gain new data about distribution of plateau-like hills, morphology and regularity of spatial
arrangement, as well as ability to concretize the inner structure of these forms and their
place at the complex of the glacial relief mesoform that occur in the insular accumulative –
glaciostructural uplands. Clarification of the glacial plateau-like hill morphological
features and spatial arrangement, comparative analysis of structure regularity between
uplands and distinct areas of distribution of the plateau-like hills that are encounter there,
gave an opportunity to analyse the development of these plateau-like hills in context of
deglaciation of territories.
Key words:: Plateau-like hills, occurrence, internal structure, insular accumulativeglaciostructural
uplands, glacier tongues, deglaciation.
