Rietumu kristīgās sabiedrības 14.gadsimta krīze Livonijā?

Abstract

Promocijas darbs pēta, kāda bija par 14. gadsimta krīzi dēvēto Rietumu viduslaiku sabiedrībā vērojamo pārmaiņu ietekme uz Livoniju, un vērtē, cik lielā mērā šīs teritorijas attīstību attiecīgajā periodā noteica iekšējās evolūcijas gaita un cik lielā mērā - ārēji faktori. Pētījumā atklāts Livonijas attīstības specifiku diktējošais pamatfaktors – tās ģeopolitiskais stāvoklis un no tā izrietošie apstākļi. Autore secina, ka Livonijā attiecīgajā periodā notika Rietumeiropas tendenču ietekmētas būtiskas sociālas pārmaiņas, kuras šeit izpaudās caur etnisko attiecību prizmu. Pētījumā konstatēta krīze Livonijas varas organizācijā, ko ietekmēja krīze baznīcā un kurai vietējie specifiskie faktori neļāva rast risinājumu. Livonijā aplūkotajā periodā vērojamie procesi novērtēti kā viduslaiku sabiedrības krīzes un vietējo faktoru mijiedarības rezultāts.

The present thesis studies the impact of the transformations in Western Christendom, referred to as the 14th century crisis, on Livonia and evaluates to what extent the development of this territory in the respective period was dictated by the course of its internal evolution and to what extent - by external factors. The study identifies the geopolitical situation of Livonia and the related aspects as the fundamental factor that determined the specifics of the development of this territory. The author concludes that major social changes affected by West European tendencies took place in the society of Livonia, here taking the expression through the prism of interethnic relations. The study reveals crisis in the organisation of power in Livonia that was affected by the crisis in Roman Catholic Church and that could not be resolved due to the specific local factors. The development trends in Livonia in the respective period are assessed to be a result of the interaction of the crisis in Western Christendom and the specific local factors.
