Vizuālais piesārņojums un tā ietekme Vecrīgā

Abstract

BBakalaura darba "Vizuālais piesārņojums un tā ietekme Vecrīgā” mērķis ir izpētīt un noteikt vizuālā piesārņojuma veidus, to sastopamību un ietekmi uz kultūrvēsturisko vidi un apmeklētājiem Vecrīgā. Pētījums ir balstīts uz pētāmās teritorijas apsekojuma, ielu krāsainu fotokolāžu, strukturētas frontālās intervijas un aptaujas metodēm un literatūras izpēti un analīzi par tēmu. Vizuālais jeb estētiskais piesārņojums ir antropogēnas izcelsmes piesārņojums, kas var izraisīt negatīvu ietekmi uz cilvēka psiholoģisko labsajūtu un mazināt kopējo vides kvalitātes vērtību. Rīgas vēsturiskais centrs tāpat kā citas urbanizētas teritorijas ir pakļauts vizuālā piesārņojuma riskam, tādēļ tā efekta izzināšana un novēršana ir aktuāla veselīgas pilsētvides uzturēšanai un kultūrvēsturiskā mantojuma saglabāšanai, kas arī ir šī pētījuma nolūks. Papildus pastāvošiem noteikumiem un prasībām attiecībā uz reklāmu un izkārtņu (komerciālo un nekomerciālo zīmju) izvietošanu un kontroli būtu nepieciešams izstrādāt vienotu un objektīvu Dizaina kodu Rīgas vēsturiskā centra un tā aizsardzības zonas teritorijā attiecībā uz to fiziskām īpašībām. Tā ieviešana sekmētu estētiski saskanīgas, kvalitatīvas un izteiksmīgas telpas veidošanu, mazinātu vizuālo piesārņojumu, kā arī veicinātu vēsturiskās apbūves saglabāšanu. Pētījuma rezultāti norāda, ka Vecrīgas apmeklētāji uzskata reklāmu un izkārtnes kā negatīvu elementu attiecībā pret Vecrīgas vizuālo tēlu, tās kaitē vēsturisko pieminekļu un ēku izskatam, un to izvietojuma un apjoma kontrole Vecrīgā ir būtiski nepieciešama. To daudzumu vecpilsētas ielās respondenti novērtēja kā daudz un mēreni, bet to lielākā koncentrēšanās tika novērota uz Audēju, Grēcinieku un Kaļķu ielas.

The goal of the bachelor thesis “Visual pollution and its effects on Riga's Old Town” is to investigate and determine the types of visual pollution and their occurrence and impacts on the cultural and historical environment of the Riga’s Old Town and its visitors. The study is based on spatial reference and observation, street colour photomontages, structured interviewing and questionnaire survey methods, as well as literature research and analysis on the topic. Visual or aesthetic pollution is caused by human impact and can have a negative effect on person’s psychological well-being, as well as a decrease in the total value of the environment. Similarly to other urban environments, the historical centre of Riga is subject to the risk of visual pollution, therefore investigating and preventing its effects is key to maintaining a healthy urban environment and preserving its cultural heritage, which is the aim of this research. In addition to the existing regulations and requirements regarding the placement and control of advertising and signboards (commercial and non-commercial signs), it would be necessary to develop a joint and objective Design Review for the Riga Historical Centre and its Protection Zone territory in terms of their physical features. Its implementation would promote the creation of aesthetically consistent, qualitative and expressive space, reduce visual pollution, as well as contribute to the preservation of historical sights. The results of the research show that the visitors of the Old Town Riga consider advertising and signboards as a negative element in relation to the visual image of the Old Town Riga, they are damaging to the appearance of historical monuments and buildings, and controlling their location and volume in this territory is essential. Respondents rated their amount in the streets of the Old Town Riga as many and moderate, but their biggest concentration was observed on Audēju, Grēcinieku and Kaļķu Street.
