Sūfisma filozofijas neoplatoniskās saknes

Abstract

Mūsdienās, globalizācijas rezultātā, kad islāms tiek popularizēts vairāk kā jebkad agrāk, līdz ar to pārklājoties ar citām, mums tuvākām, reliģijām un to mācībām, šī darba galvenais mērķis ir izpētīt grieķu mantojuma asimilāciju islāma mistiskajā praksē. Bakalaura darbā tiek aplūkotas neoplatonisma un sūfisma filozofisko mācību iespējamās paralēles un līdzības. Pētījuma mērķi ir noskaidrot neoplatonisma un sūfisma mācības vēsturisko izcelsmi, attīstību un rezultātā, izsekot, kā neoplatonisms ietekmēja sūfisma filozofiju. Gan neoplatonisma, gan sūfisma pamatā ir ideja par sevis attīrīšanu, lai rezultātā savienotos ar Dievu, jeb visa esošā pirmsākumu, taču jautājums ir, vai tās ir vai nav attīstījušas viena no otras. Darba gaitā gan sūfisms, gan neoplatonisms tika pētīti no vēsturiskā un teorētiskā aspektā, paralēli meklējot līdzības starp tiem. Rezultātā iegūtie secinājumi ļauj apstiprināt darba hipotēzi, proti, ka sūfisma filozofija ir tieši balstīta uz neoplatonisma idejām.

Due to the modern globalization of the world, Islamic culture is popularized more than ever, thus, bringing it closer to other, well known, religions and their teachings. The purpose of this study is to explore the assimilation of Greek heritage into Islamic mystical thought and practice. The research is based on analyzing both Neoplatonist and Sufi philosophical teachings and finding the possible similarities between them. The main goal of this research is to explore the historical origin and development of both teachings, and as a result, clarify, how Neoplatonism influenced Sufi philosophy. Indeed, both Neoplatonism and Sufism share the idea of self-purification as the foundational principle of their teachings. However, one wonders if and how this idea has been transferred from one system to another. Both Sufism and Neoplatonism are addressed from historical and theoretical aspects, in order to find the similarities between them. As a result, based on the obtained conclusions, the hypothesis of the study – Sufism is to a significant extent based on the Neoplatonic philosophy – has been proved.
