Atslēgas vārdi: Atrofisks gastrīts, pepsinogēni, gastrīns-17, kuņģa biomarķieri This study analyzed gastric biomarkers method validation for indirect detection of atrophy of the stomach mucosa versus standart histopathology. Study data showed correlation between decreased PgI/PgII and atrophy of the corpus of the stomach (p<0.0001) with sensitivity (83.3%), overall accuracy (86.7%). There was a significant decrease of the mean levels of PgI and PgI/PgII ratio with increasing OLGA gastritis stage. Decreased sG-17 values correlated well to the atrophy in the antral part of the stomach (p=0.007), yet the sensitivity was substantially lower (36.8%). The percentage of patients with decreased G-17 and sG-17 did not correlate with OLGA gastritis stage. PgI/PgII value is a reliable marker for the detection of atrophy in the corpus part of the stomach, but G-17 due to the low sensitivity not suggested for the clinical use.
