Abstract
Alīda Zigmunde. Pedagoģiskā darbība Rīgas Politehnikumā un Rīgas Politehniskajā
institūtā (1862 -1919). Promocijas darbā apkopots un izanalizēts Rīgas Politehnikuma un
Rīgas Politehniskā institūta mācībspēku un absolventu pedagoģiskās darbības saturs 19.
gadsimta 2. pusē – 20. gadsimtā, izvērtēta tā kultūrvēsturiskā nozīme augstskolas pedagoģijas
attīstībā. Darbā secināts, ka augstskolas mācībspēku un audzēkņu pedagoģiskajā darbībā
atspoguļojās Rietumeiropas un Krievijas pedagoģiskās atziņas, kuras augstskolā aprobēja un
attīstīja tālāk. Rīgas augstskolā veidojās laikmetīga pedagoģijas zinātne, kurā rodami
augstskolas pedagoģijas pirmsākumi Latvijā. Augstskolas absolventi un mācībspēki devuši
nozīmīgu ieguldījumu pedagoģijas zinātnes attīstībā Latvijā un Eiropā. Promocijas darba
izstrādē izmantoti Latvijas un ārzemju arhīvu un bibliotēku materiāli.
Alīda Zigmunde. The pedagogical activity at the Riga Polytechnic and at the Riga Polytechnic Institute from 1862 to 1919. In the doctoral disertation data are gathered and the content of the pedagogical activity of teachers and alumni of The Riga Polytechnic and the Riga Polytechnic Institute in the 2nd half of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century is analyzed as well as the cultural and historical importance of the development of university pedagogy. It has been concluded, that all their activities reflect the pedagogical knowledge of western Europe and Russia. At this institution of higher education modern pedagogical science developed and it was the beginning of high-school pedagogy in Latvia. The alumni and teachers of this institution of higher education have made an important contribution to the science of pedagogy in Latvia and Europe. Documents from archives and libraries in Latvia and from other contries have been used in this research.
