Sabiedriskā tikumība Latvijā 1918-1940

Abstract

Ar sabiedriskās tikumības jēdzienu Latvijā no 1918. līdz 1940. gadam tika apzīmētas divpadsmit sociālās parādības - ārlaulības bērni, aborti, homoseksuālisms, nekaunīga izturēšanās, prostitūcija un veneriskās slimības, pašnāvības, ubagošana, cietsirdīga izturēšanās pret dzīvniekiem, kā arī pornogrāfija, žūpība, narkomānija un azartspēļu spēlēšana. Promocijas darbā izzināta minēto parādību esamība Latvijas starpkaru sociālajā realitātē, uzmanību centrējot uz visiem iedzīvotāju slāņiem raksturīgām situācijām. Darbs sastāv no ievada, avotu un literatūras apskata, trim nodaļām un secinājumiem. Pētījuma izklāstā izmantots hronoloģiskais princips, tomēr primāri analizētas katras sociālās parādības iekšējās problēmas – no normas uz cilvēku rīcību, kas radīja sabiedriskajā tikumībā iekļautās sociālās parādības, uz kurām reaģēja valsts vara un laikabiedri. Pētījuma struktūra balstīta uz minēto sociālo parādību piederību brīvā laika un privātās dzīves jomām.

The doctoral thesis deals with twelve social problems − illegitimate child, abortions, homosexuality, impudent (lustful) behaviour, incidence of venereal diseases and prostitution, suicide, mendicancy, cruel treatment of animals, as well pornography, alcohol and drug abuse, gambling – that were called “public morality” in Latvia from 1918 to 1940. The existence of mentioned social problems in the social reality of interwar Latvia is researched in the doctoral thesis, focusing on the situations that can characterize the various social strata. The doctoral thesis is composed of preface, the review of sources and historiography, three chapters and conclusion. The chronological principle is applied in the research nevertheless the internal problems of each social problem are primary analyzed – from the norm to the concrete people’s actions. It created a social problem rooted in the public morality. The political authorities and people had to react on those problems. The structure of the research is based on the belonging of mentioned social problems to the areas of the private life and leisure.
