Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Ārnes Nesa un Rodžera Skrūtona ekofilosofijas nostādņu salīdzinājums” veltīts aktuālai mūsdienu problemātikai divu filosofu refleksiju prizmā. Ness un Skrūtons katrs savā veidā un kontekstā risina ekoloģiski svarīgus jautājumus par vidi, lokālo atbildību un globālajiem izaicinājumiem. Mūsdienu pasaulei nepieciešama ekoloģiska gudrība, kas ir gan pietiekami vizionāra, gan pietiekami pragmatiski konservatīva, lai civilizācijas nenonāktu totālas ekoloģiskas katastrofas priekšā. Šīs gudrības meklējumi darba ietvaros aprakstīti tajā analizēto un salīdzināto Ā. Nesa un R. Skrūtona ideju kontekstā. Abiem domātājiem ir atšķirīgi motīvi, kas viņiem liek pievērsties ekofilosofijas variācijām, taču abus vieno analogs ekoloģiski relevants mērķis.

The thesis “The comparison of ecophilosophical stances between Arne Naess and Roger Scruton” serves as a work which helps understand modern problems with the help of the reflection of two philosophers. Naess and Scruton deal with important ecological questions about the environment, local responsibility and global challenges in their own ways. The modern world needs ecological wisdom which is both visionary and pragmatically conservative to help civilisation not meet a total ecological catastrophe. These searches of wisdom are described and compared within the context of Naess and Scrutons ideas in this work. Although both of the authors have the same analogical ecological goal,both of the thinkers have varying motives, which make them turn to different ecophilosophical variations.
