Saimnieču loma kāzās Latgalē tradīcijās un mūsdienās

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Saimnieču loma kāzās Latgalē tradīcijā un mūsdienās” veltīts folkloristikā līdz šim maz pētītai tēmai – godu saimnieces amata prasmēm un lomai kāzās. Kāzas Latgalē ilgu laiku ir bijis viens no tradīcijās visvairāk iesakņotajiem godiem, tāpēc spēcīgas saimnieču tradīcijas ir saglabājušās vēl visu 20. gadsimtu, ievērojamākas transformācijas piedzīvojot mūsdienās. Līdzās folkloras materiāliem – tautasdziesmām, ticējumiem, ieražu aprakstiem – nozīmīgs informācijas avots bakalaura darba tapšanā ir autores pašas veiktās biogrāfiskās intervijas ar godu saimniecēm, kā arī intervijas no LU Filozofijas un socioloģijas institūta Nacionālā mutvārdu vēstures krājuma arhīva kolekcijas, kas atklāj saimnieču darba īpatnības Latgalē no 20. gadsimta 50. gadiem līdz 21. gadsimta sākumam. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kāda ir bijusi, kā laika gaitā mainījusies un kāda šobrīd ir saimnieču loma kāzās Latgalē, raksturojot to gan tradīcijas un laikmeta kontekstā, gan iezīmējot kāzu saimnieci kā indivīdu un šīs tradīcijas nesēju. Bakalaura darbu veido ievads, trīs nodaļas ar apakšnodaļām, secinājumi, nobeigums un pielikums ar ilustratīvo foto materiālu. Bakalaura darba pirmajā nodaļā iezīmēta kāzu saimnieces amata specifika (amata apgūšana, saimnieču nosaukumi, pastāvošā hierarhija), otrajā analizēta saimnieces darbība kāzu norises laikā, secīgi aprakstot ar kāzu saimnieci saistītās pirmās un otrās dienas kāzu tradīcijas, savukārt trešajā nodaļā sniegta kāzu galda struktūra un tās raksturojums. Ar kontekstuālo pieeju un salīdzinošo metodi bakalaura darbā analizētās kāzu saimnieču dzīvesstāstu intervijas ne tikai apliecina, ka vēl 20. gadsimta II pusē Latgalē daudzi kāzu rituāli un tradīcijas bija saglabājušās, bet arī parāda, ka saimnieču loma kāzās ir bijusi ievērojami lielāka, nekā par to liecina folkloras materiāli.

The bachelor thesis “The role of hostesses at weddings in Latgale: traditions and today” is devoted to a subject that has so far been not enough researched – the mastery of the position of occasion hostess and their role in the wedding. For a long time the traditions have been threaded in weddings in Latgale more than in any other event, therefore notable hostess traditions have remained throughout the 20th century, encountering transformations only nowadays. Alongside with the folklore material, such as folk songs, beliefs, and descriptions of customs, an important source of information is the author’s own biographical interviews with occasion hostesses, as well as interviews from the National Oral History Centre of Philosophy and Sociology Institute of LU, which reveal the peculiarities of hostesses work in Latgale from the 1950s to the early 21st century. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to research what has been the role of hostesses in the weddings in Latgale, how it has changed throughout the times and what it is now, describing it both in the context of traditions and era, at the same time highlighting the wedding hostess as an individual and a bearer of this tradition. The bachelor thesis consists of introduction, three chapters with subchapters, inferences, conclusion, and annex with photo material. In the bachelor thesis first chapter the focus is on the specifics of the wedding hostess position, in the second is analysed the work of hostess during the wedding, describing the wedding traditions in the first and the second day of wedding, and the third chapter provides the structure of the wedding table and its characteristics. The life story interviews with the hostesses of wedding in the bachelor thesis have been analysed by the contextual theory and comperative method. The interviews not only reveal that many rituals and traditions had remained in the second half of 20th century, but also show that the role of wedding hostesses has been significantly greater than the folklore materials show.
