Aktivitāšu izstrāde nozares angļu valodas apguvei

Abstract

Lai saglabātu konkurētspēju savā jomā, profesionāļiem ir jāattīsta jomai atbilstošu angļu valodas zināšanu apguve, bet aizvien pieaugošais pieprasījums pēc nozaru angļu valodas apmācībām rada pieprasījumu arī pēc kompetentiem pasniedzējiem un mācību materiāla izstrādātājiem. Šis darbs tika izstrādāts ar mērķi pētīt nozaru angļu valodas mācību materiālu izveides procesu, kā arī, apmācot studentus, radīt oriģinālu mācību materiālu konkrētai Finanšu menedžmenta programmas studentu grupai. Lai izveidotu šo materiālu, tika iegūti kvalitatīvie dati, analizējot nodarbību laikā novērotos procesus. Jaunizveidotais materiāls tika veiksmīgi izmantots praksē.

To secure employability professionals have to develop their English language skills appropriate for their fields, but with the ever-growing demand for ESP teaching, naturally, the demand also grows for ESP teachers and material designers. Thus, the goal of this paper was to examine the process of ESP activity design by creating an original activity suited for a particular group of Financial Management students whilst teaching. For the creation of the activity qualitative data in the form of lesson notes and teacher reflections was gathered to address and eliminate any activity design and classroom environment related problems. The activity was successfully designed and piloted.
