Terminu darināšana un lietošana tematiskajā laukā „Vide un ekoloģija” : sastatāmā analīze

Abstract

Promocijas darba anotācija Promocijas darbs ir veltīts terminu darināšanas modeļu un terminu lietošanas analīzei angļu valodā tematiskajā laukā „vide un ekoloģija” un terminu tālākas lietošanas angļu un latviešu valodā izpētei. Termini, kas izvēlēti šim pētījumam tika analizēti vairākos aspektos: terminu lingvistiskās formas, nozīmes veidošanas modeļu, kas tiek lietoti terminu darināšanā, analīze, semantisko pārmaiņu analīze, konteksta lomas izpēte terminoloģijas lietošanā, speciālo simbolu izpēte, utt. Promocijas darba teorētiskais pētījums piedāvā detalizētu terminu veidošanas principu attīstības analīzi, kā arī tas ir veltīts terminoloģijas lietošanas vienvalodas un daudzvalodu komunikatīvajā vidē dažādu aspektu izpētei. Promocijas darba praktisko pētījumu veido terminu darināšanas modeļu un tālākas lietošanas empīriskā analīze, kas ir ilustrēta ar piemēriem abās valodās. Abstract of the Doctoral Thesis The present Doctoral Thesis is devoted to the analysis of the patterns of term formation in the thematic field “environment and ecology” in the English language and the investigation of the further application of the terms in the English and Latvian languages. The terms selected as the empirical material for the present research have been studied from different aspects: their structural representation, analysis of the meaning formation patterns used to coin modern terms, investigation of the semantic shifts, the role of context in terminology application, etc. The theoretical investigation performed in the present Thesis provides an in-depth analysis of the principles of term formation and is devoted to the research of the aspects significant for the analysis of terminology application in monolingual and/or multilingual communicative settings. The theoretical part of the research is supported by the practical examples in both languages. Key words: Terminology, term formation patterns, term application, semantic aspect, contrastive analysis
