Augstskolas kultūras ietekme uz topošo pedagogu profesionālo motivāciju

Abstract

Guntas Kraģes promocijas darbs vadībzinātnē izglītības vadības apakšnozarē „Augstskolas kultūras ietekme uz topošo pedagogu profesionālo motivāciju” izstrādāts Latvijas Universitātes Pedagoģijas, psiholoģijas un mākslas fakultātes Izglītības zinātņu nodaļā Dr.Fiz. profesora Andra Grīnfelda vadībā laika posmā no 2006.gada līdz 2012.gadam. Pētījuma aktualitāti nosaka tendences augstākajā izglītībā, ka līdz šim nav pētīta topošo skolotāju profesionālā motivācija kvalitatīvai skolotāju izglītības nodrošināšanai augstskolā, kā arī tam, kas to augstskolā veicina. Pētījums tiek veikts starpdisciplinārā skatījumā no dažādu zinātņu nozaru - vadībzinātņu, pedagoģijas, psiholoģijas, socioloģijas, u.c. skatu punkta. Pētījuma mērķis ir pamatojoties uz zinātnisko literatūru un praktiskā pētījuma rezultātiem izpētīt augstskolas kultūras ietekmi uz studentu motivāciju pedagoga profesijai. Teorētiski pētnieciskā daļā apskatītas organizāciju kultūras un augstskolas kultūras teorijas un atsevišķi faktori: augstskolas iekšējā un ārējā vide, augstskolas misija un tās atbilstība profesionālajai nozarei, augstskolas vadības aspekti un personāla loma. Darba praktiskā pētnieciskajā daļā veikts pētījums par jauniešu izvēli studijām augstskolā, lai noskaidrotu studentu attieksmi pret pedagoga profesiju un vēlmi pēc absolvēšanas strādāt profesijā, lai noskaidrotu faktorus, kas studiju laikā ietekmē studentu attieksmi un motivāciju skolotāja profesijai, lai noskaidrotu akadēmiskā un administratīvā personāla apmierinātību ar darbu un attieksmi pret savu un pedagoga profesiju. Izveidots „Augstskolas kultūras un reflektantu –studentu – absolventu savstarpējās mijiedarbības” modelis, kas uzskatāmi parāda augstskolas kultūras ciešo saistību ar topošiem un esošiem studentiem, kas ietekmē arī absolventu lojalitāti profesijai un augstskolai, līdz ar to augstskolas konkurētspēju, t.i. jaunu studentu piesaisti un esošo studentu esamību. Promocijas darba teorētiskajā daļā tika apskatīti jautājumi, kas praktiski pētnieciskajā daļā ieguva apstiprinājumu par augstskolas kultūras nozīmīgākiem faktoriem, kas ietekmē studentu - topošo pedagogu profesionālo motivāciju. Pamatojoties uz teorētiskā un praktiskā pētījumu rezultātā izstrādāti priekšlikumi augstskolas vadībai, akadēmiskam un administratīvam personālam, studentiem, Promocijas darba apjoms ir 182 lapas bez pielikumiem, tajā ir 9 tabulas un 34 attēli. Darbā ir dots 216 izmantoto avotu saraksts, un tam ir pievienoti 8 pielikumi uz 20 lapām

The Doctoral thesis by Gunta Kraģe in management science, in the education management sub-branch „The Impact of the University Culture on the Professional Motivation of the Future Pedagogues” has been worked out at the Department of Educational Science, Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art, University of Latvia under the supervision of professor Dr. phys. Andris Grīnfelds from 2006 till 2012. The topicality of the research is determined by the trends in higher education that the professional motivation of the future teachers for ensuring qualitative teacher education in the higher education institution (university) has not been studied so far as well as what in the university promotes it. The study is performed in an interdisciplinary aspect from the point of view of different branches of science – management science, pedagogy, psychology, sociology etc. The aim of the research is to study the impact of the university culture on students’ motivation to become teachers which is done on the basis of scientific literature and results obtained from practical research. The theoretical research part looks upon the theories of the organization culture and university culture and its particular aspects: the internal and external environment of the university, the mission of the university and its correspondence to the professional field, the aspects of the university management and the role of the staff. The practical research part presents the study on the young people’s choice of studying at higher education institution in order to find out students’ attitude to the teacher’s profession and the desire to work after the graduation in the profession, to identify factors that during the studies influence students’ attitude and motivation for the teacher’s profession, to find out the satisfaction of the academic and administrative staff with their work and their attitude to their own work and teacher’s profession. “The Model of mutual interaction of university culture and applicants-students- graduates” has been developed and it clearly indicates the close connection of the university culture with the would-be and current students that influences also the graduates’ loyalty to the profession and their higher education institution, thus also the competitiveness of the higher education institution, i.e., the attraction of new students and the presence of the current students. The theoretical part of the Doctoral thesis discusses the issues that were confirmed in the practical research part regarding the most significant factors of the university culture that influence the professional motivation of the students-the future teachers. Recommendations for the management of the higher education institution, academic and administrative staff, and students have been developed on the basis of the results obtained from the theoretical and practical research. The Doctoral thesis is written on 182 pages excluding appendices; it includes 9 tables and 34 figures. The Bibliography contains the list of 216 sources used; the thesis has 8 appendices taking up 20 pages.
