Rīgas Vēstures un Kuģniecības Muzeja šaujamieroču kolekcija kā vēstures avots

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt Rīgas vēstures un kuģniecības muzeja šaujamieroču kolekciju un novērtēt tās kā vēstures avota potenciālu. Lai šo mērķi sasniegtu tiek analizēta un apzināta rakstītajos vēstures avotos un histeriogrāfijā pieejamā materiāla apjoms par šaujamieroču attīstības pirmsākumiem Latvijas teritorijā un to apstiprinošiem faktiem - Livonijas ordeņa piļu un būvju pārbūve, fortifikācijas būvju un aizsardzības sistēmu uzlabošana sākot ar 15. gadsimtu, sniedz neapstrīdamas liecības. Tiek aplūkota Rīgas pilsētas amatniecības darbība 16. – 20. gadsimtā. Kalēju amata vēsturiskā attīstības tiek analizēta, lai konstatētu historiogrāfijā fiksētās ziņas par Rīgas šaujamieroču meistaru sākotnējo darbību un apzinātu Rīgas artilērijas un rokas šaujamieroču meistarus, laika periodā no 16. – 20. gadsimtam. Neliels ieskats tiek dots šaujamieroču attīstības vēsturē un klasifikācijā, kā arī pievērsta uzmanība ar to saistītai problemātikai. Darba nobeiguma nodaļa satur ieroču kolekcijas pētnieciskā darba laikā iegūtos rezultātus, autora interpretējumu un Rīgas Vēstures un Kuģniecības Muzeja šaujamieroču kolekcijas priekšmetu, kā vēstures avota, vērtējumu. The aim of the master's thesis is to study the firearms collection of the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation and to evaluate its potential as a source of history. In order to achieve this goal, the amount of material available in written historical sources and historiography on the origins of firearms development in the territory of Latvia and its confirming facts will be used - Livonian Order castle reconstructions, upgrades of fortifications and defense systems from the 15th century, provides indisputable evidence. The craft activity of the city of Riga in the 16th - 20th century is considered. The historical development of the profession of blacksmith is analyzed in order to establish the information recorded in historiography about the initial activity of Riga firearm smiths and to identify Riga artillery and handgun masters in the period from the 16th to the 20th century. A little insight is given into the history and classification of the development of firearms, as well as attention is paid to related issues.The final chapter contains the results obtained during the research work of the weapons collection, the author's interpretation and the evaluation of the objects of the firearms collection of the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation as a source of history.
