Telpas semantika Teodora Fontānes romānā „Efija Brīsta”

Abstract

Telpa – viena no svarīgākajām kategorijām cilvēka pasaules uztverē. Ikdienišķā telpas definīcija nav problemātiska, atšķirībā no tās teorētiskās eksplikācijas jeb paskaidrojuma. Līdz par 20. gadsimtam telpas definīcija nebija pietiekami izpētīta, tomēr ar telpiskā pagrieziena (Spatial Turn) sākumu situācija ir mainījusies – telpa kļuva par kultūras vērtību, kas vēlāk ļāva paplašināt tās pētījuma horizontus. Pēdējo gadsimtu gaitā telpas izpētei tika veltīti daudzi darbi, kas pierāda tās aktualitāti līdz pat šodienai. Šis maģistra darbs nodarbojas ar literārās telpas semantiku jeb tās nozīmi un izpratni vācu rakstnieka Teodora Fontānes romānā Efija Brīsta. Šis romāns ir raksturīgs piemērs, kurā iterārās telpas semantika tiekt parādīta caur interjera un dizaina prismu. Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt telpas semantiku romānā Efija Brīsta un parādīt, kādā veidā telpa tiek īstenota tekstā. Iepriekšminētā mērķa sasniegšanai ir nepieciešams apkopot arī telpas jēdziena teorētiskos pamatus.

Space is one of the most crucial categories of the human perception of the world. A common definition of space is unproblematic, in contrast to its theoretical explication. Until the 20th century, the concept of space has not been sufficiently studied, but with the Spatial Turn the situation has changed – space has become a cultural dimension, which allowed expanding the horizons of its study. Over the past decades, a large number of works have been devoted to the study of the concept of space, which proves its relevance to this day. This study is dedicated to semantics of the artistic space, that is, its meaning and significance in the novel by the German writer Theodor Fontane, Effi Briest. This novel is a case study, where the category of art space is shown through the prism of interior and design. The purpose of the work is to study the semantics of space in the novel Effi Briest and show how it is embedded in the text. To achieve the aforementioned goal it is also necessary to generalize the theoretical foundations of the concept of space.
