Abstract

Maģistra darba “Krievijas impērijas politika Vidzemes provincē Katrīnas II valdīšanas laikā (1762-1796. gads)” ir jauno laiku vēstures izpētes darbs, kurš veltīts Latvijas teritoriālajai vienībai Vidzemei. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt Krievijas impērijas politiskās pārvaldes tendences Vidzemes provincē Katrīnas II valdīšanas laikā 1762. - 1796. gadā. Pētījuma galvenais izpētes aspekts ir pretnostatījums starp Vidzemes bruņniecību un Krievijas impērijas imperiālistisko politiku 18. gadsimta II pusē. Izpētes rezultātā iegūts no iepriekš maz izmantotiem avotiem patstāvīgi izveidots pētījums, kas sniedz padziļinātu izpratni par pārvaldes tendencēm Vidzemes provincē 18. gadsimtā.

The aim of this Master’s thesis “Policy of the Russian Empire in the Vidzeme province during the reign of Catherine II (1762-1796)” is dedicated to the study of Modern history of the territory of Vidzeme. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the trends of political administration of the Russian Empire in the Vidzeme province during the reign of Catherine II from 1762 to 1796. The main aspect of the study is the contrast between the aristocracy of Vidzeme and the imperialist policies of the Russian Empire in the second half of the 18th century.The results of this thesis were gained through an independent study using previously used sources,which provide an in-depth understanding of governance trends in the Vidzeme province in the 18th century.
