The doctoral paper by Juris Paiders “Use of quantitative indicators in assessing
regional development” is intended to help elaborate and approbate methods for the
use of quantitative indicators in assessing levels of territorial development as
manifestations of regional policies.
The paper evaluates approaches and methods in measuring levels of territorial
development, and indicators of economic activity have been selected for use in
determining territorial development levels.
By evaluating the territorial distribution of European Union financial support for
business and infrastructural development, this paper analyzes programs administered
by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, State Regional Development
Agency, Rural Support Service and the Ministry of Environment. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Promocijas darbs ir veltīts, lai izstrādātu un aprobētu metodes kvantitatīvu indikatoru izmantošanai teritoriju attīstības līmeņa kā reģionāla politikas izpausmes vērtēšana. Darbā tika izvērtētas pieejas un metodes teritoriju attīstības līmeņa mērīšana, kā arī veikta ekonomiskās aktivitātes indikatoru atlase, kuri butu izmantojami, nosakot teritoriju attīstības līmeni, Darbā, izvērtējot Eiropas Savienības finansējuma atbalsta uzņemējdarbībai un infrastrukturas attīstībai teritoriālo sadalījumu, ir izanalizētas Latvijas investīciju un attīstības aģentura, Valsts regionālās attīstības aģentura, Lauku atbalsta dienests un Vides ministrijas administrētās programmas. | |
