The purpose of this work is to investigate the divergence of the brain, skull and lower jaw by their geometric shape of five vole's taxa of “guentheri” group with geometric morphometry. In addition, linear brain morphometry was performed. The obtained data show that the sex as a factor does not affect the brain, skull and lower jaw shape of the studied taxa, as well as on the linear parameters of the brain. Significant differences are noted between the two species in terms of brain shape (hemispheres, cerebellum and olfactory bulbs) and linear parameters (brain height, width and length). Differences were also shown in the shape of the skull and mandible. Each taxon has its own specific deformations at the skull and mandible. Significant differences are found between the subspecies of M. guentheri and M. hartingi. Thus, for M. guentheri subspecies, the angle between articular process and angular process is the narrowest. In contrast, in M. hartingi subspecies, the angle between articular process and angular process is the widest. The changes are related to both long-term isolation and adaptation to specific ecological conditions.
