The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the long-term and seasonal changes to the flow of water in Barta, Ogre and Pededze rivers and its main influencing factors – precipitation and air temperature - by analyzing regional differences and changes over-time. The research of the Latvian and European hydrological and metrological regime has been used for the development of the work, as well as the data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center, which have been used to characterize the flow of water, air temperature and total precipitation changes to the period from1960 to 2020. The topicality of the topic is determined by climate change, which directly and indirectly affects and changes the hydrological and meteorological parameters of Latvian rivers and river basin. Changes in climate that are happening and will happen in the future will effect economic sectors as well as could make changes in biosystems and habitats that are near rivers and influenced by rivers flow.
