Senebreju valodas vārda “hesed” tulkošanas iespējas Bībelē latviešu valodā

Abstract

Šī darba mērķis ir noskaidrot veiksmīgākos risinājumus lietvārda hesed un no saknēm hnn, rhm atvasināto vārdu tulkošanai Rakstu vietās, kurās tie sastopami blakus. Tas nepieciešams, jo gan hesed, gan hnn, rhm latviešu valodā mēdz tulkot ar vārdam “žēlastība” fonētiski līdzīgiem vārdiem. Lai sasniegtu mērķi, noskaidrotas vārdu nozīmes gan senebreju, gan latviešu valodā, veikta daļēja apskatāmo 24 pantu ekseģēze un salīdzināti trīs Bībeles tulkojumi latviešu valodā. Darbs noslēdzas ar secinājumiem par hesed, hnn un rhm izpratni latviešu valodā un līdzšinējo tulkojumu salīdzinājumu.

The aim of thesis “Translating “chesed” from Biblical Hebrew into Latvian” is to find the most successful translations for the noun hesed, as well as for words derived from roots hnn, rhm in Bible verses where they are used together. It is necessary because these words’ translations into Latvian often are phonetically similar. In order to reach the aim, the author determines the meanings of the relevant words in Biblical Hebrew and Latvian, carries out a partial exegesis of 24 Biblical verses and compares three Bible translations in Latvian. The thesis concludes with an interpretation of hesed, hnn and rhm in Latvian and a comparison of the existing translations.
