Dieva augi: hašiša un kaņepes pielietojums sūfiju rituālos

Abstract

Psihotropo vielu pielietošanas izpēte islāma ietvaros var veidot jauno redzējumu uz šīs reliģijas teoloģiskajiem aspektiem un sinkrētiskām izpausmēm, it īpaši sūfisma tradīcijas kontekstā. Šīs darbs galvenokārt cenšās noskaidrot: a) kā kaņepes un hašiša pielietojums, balstoties islāma teoloģiskajos aspektos, tiek pamatots sūfiju tradīcijā; b) kas ietekmēja to, ka sūfisms iekļāva savās garīgajās praksēs psihotropo vielu pielietošanu. Darbā aplūkotais laika periods ir no 10. līdz 16. gs. Darbā parādīts, kā hašiša lietojums sūfismā saistīts ar islāma vietējo ticējumu un prakšu sinkrētisko raksturu. Darba rezultāti atspoguļo kad sūfiju rituālos, kuros iekļauta psihotropo kaņepes un hašišu pielietošana, vērojama Kašmiras šaivisma tradīcijas ietekme.

Research of psychedelic drug use in Islam shows a new perspective on the theological aspects of this religion and indicates its syncretic manifestations, especially in Sufism tradition. This research tries to answers: a) how the use of cannabis and hashish is justified in Sufism, based on theological aspects of Islam; and b) what affected Sufism followers to include the use of psychedelic drugs in their spiritual practices. The paper mostly covers 10.-16. AD. It reflects how the use of hashish in Sufism is connected to local Islamic tradition beliefs and the syncretic nature of religion. Research results indicate that Sufism rituals which include the use of cannabis and hashish are based on the Kashmir Shaivism traditions influence.
