Dzīvnieki biomākslā: posthumānisma skatījums

Abstract

Darbā “Dzīvnieki biomākslā: posthumānisma skatījums” risināts jautājums, vai biomāksla, problematizējot dzīvnieku izmantošanas diskursu mākslas praksē un vienlaicīgi izmantojot dzīvnieku, spēj iziet ārpus antropocentrisma paradigmas robežām. Darba mērķis ir pamatot, ka posthumānisma perspektīva problematizē dzīvnieku izmantošanu biomākslā kā iespējami antropocentrisku, taču abu – biomākslas un posthumānisma – mijiedarbība sekmē jauna cilvēku un dzīvnieku attiecību modeļa meklējumus. Pirmajā nodaļā atlasīti un formulēti galvenie posthumānisma pieņēmumi, pazīmes, idejas. Otrajā nodaļā aplūkots antropocentrisma un postantropocentrisma paradigmu konflikts biomākslā. Trešajā nodaļā veikta biomākslas piemēru analīze, izdarīti secinājumi par problēmas jautājumu un izvērsta posthumānisma un biomākslas savstarpēji papildinošo krustpunktu tēma.

The master thesis “Animals in Bioart: Posthumanist Perspective” deals with the question of whether bioart is able to step outside the paradigm of anthropocentrism by problematizing the discourse of animals use in the practice of art and simultaneously using them in its own artworks. The paper argues that the posthumanism perspective problematizes the use of animals in bioart as potentially anthropocentric, but the interaction of both – bioart and posthumanism – facilitates the search for a new model of relations between humans and animals. Chapter I formulates the key features of posthumanism. Chapter II looks at the conflict of paradigms of anthropocentrism and postanthropocentrism in bioart. Chapter III analyses examples of bioart, and elaborates on the topic of mutually enriching aspects of intersection between posthumanism and bioart.
