Mitoloģijas loma Čigozi Objomas romānā “Minoritāšu orķestris”

Abstract

Šis bakalaura darbs atspoguļo Igbo mitoloģijas analīzi Čigozi Objomas, jaunās Āfrikas diasporas literatūras pārstāvja, romānā “Minoritāšu orķestris”. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt un izprast Objomas pielietoto Igbo mitoloģiju viņa romānā. Pētījuma metodes iekļauj romāna rūpīgu lasīšanu, teksta analīzi un mitoloģijas pārskatu. Darbā iekļauts teorijas pārskats par transnacionālismu un tā nozīmi romānā. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāj, ka izmantojot mītisku, visu zinošu stāstītāju Čigozi Objoma ir spējīgs attēlot vairākas nigēriešiem svarīgas tēmas.

The current paper presents an analysis of Igbo mythology in the novel “An Orchestra of Minorities” (2019) written by Chigozie Obioma, a representative of the New African Diasporic literature. The goal of the paper is to analyze and interpret Obioma’s use of Igbo mythology in his novel. The methods of research include a close reading of the novel, narrative analysis, and studies of mythology. The paper includes a review of theory on transnationalism and its significance for the novel. The results of the research reveal that by using a mythical omniscient narrator, Chigozie Obioma is able to explore a range of themes crucial to Nigerian people.
