Džo Rogana pieredze: veidojot vīrišķību vai viela pārdomām

Abstract

Savā bakalaura disertācijā ‘Džo Rogana pieredze: Veidojot Vīrišķību vai Viela Pārdomām’ es koncentrējos uz jauniem, pieaugušiem, latviešu vīriešiem un viņu pārdomām par Džo Rogana raidieraksti, un par vīrišķības atspoguļojuma aktualitāti sociālajos medijos. Tēzes mērķis ir saprast, kāpēc cilvēki skatās un klausās Džo Rogana raidierakstu, vai par dzimumu bieži tiek runāts, kā Rogans runā par vīrišķību un tās nozīmi mūsdienu laikā, un vai dalībnieki pievērš tam uzmanību, klausoties raidierkastu. Šajā pētījumā aplūkota labi pazīstama riadieraksta un raidierakstītāja iekšējā pasaule no klausītāja viedokļa, kas saņēmusi negatīvu atgriezenisko saiti dzimumu normu ziņā.

In my Bachelor thesis ‘The Joe Rogan Experience: Shaping Masculinity or a Food for Thought’ I focus on young adult male Latvians and their reflection on Joe Rogan’s podcast and about the topicality of masculinity representation on social media. The goal of the thesis is to understand why people watch and listen to Joe Rogan’s podcast, if the topic of gender is often talked about, how does Rogan talk about masculinity and its importance in contemporary times, and if the participants pay attention to it while listening to the podcast. This study examines the inside world of a well-known podcast and podcaster from a listener’s point of view that has gotten negative feedback in the terms of gender norms.
