Pētījums Datorterminu lietojums Latvijas IT speciālistu mutiskajā saziņā tapis ar nolūku izpētīt latviešu datorterminu lietojumu IT nozares speciālistu mutiskā saziņā darba vidē Latvijā. Darba mērķis ir atklāt IT terminoloģijas lietojuma tendences un paradumus šīs jomas speciālistu vidū. Darbā tika izmantotas kvantitatīvā un kvalitatīva metodes. Aptaujājot 186 IT speciālistus, pētījumā tiek atklāts, ka gandrīz 70% no respondentiem izvēlas lietot transkribējumus oficiāli apstiprināto terminu vietā, un latviešu cilmes terminu vietā IT jomā strādājošie dod priekšroku aizguvumiem, anglismiem un žargonvārdiem. Būtu nepieciešami arī turpmāki pētījumi, lai izstrādātu jaunu terminoloģisku politiku, kā arī vērotu situācijas izmaiņas laika gaitā. The study Use of Computer Terms in Spoken Communication Among IT Professionals in Latvia has been carried out with the intention to study the use of Latvian computer terms used in the IT industry specialists’ spoken communication in work environment in Latvia. The aim of the work is to reveal the trends and habits of the use of IT terminology among specialists in this field. The quantitative and qualitative methods were used in the work. Surveying 186 IT specialists, the study reveals that almost 70% of respondents choose transcribed terms instead of officially approved terms, and instead of Latvian origin terms, those working in the IT field prefer borrowings, anglicisms and jargon. Further research would also be needed to develop a new terminological policy, as well as to observe changes in the situation over time.
