Narkotiku nozīme Alena Ginsberga dzejolī "Kauciens" (1956)

Abstract

Šis darbs ir vērsts uz narkotiku nozīmes izpēti Alena Ginsberga dzejolī "Kauciens "(1956), kā arī Beat Paaudzi un narkotiku vēsturi Amerikas pēckara sabiedrībā un metaforu izmantošanu simbolikas literatūrā. Šī darba mērķis ir rūpīgi izpētīt teoriju par metaforām, kā arī teoriju par simboliku un izmantot šo teoriju, lai iegūtu metaforas, ko izmanto, lai runātu par narkotikām Alena Ginsberga dzejā, noteiktu šo metaforu nozīmi un izdarītu secinājumus. Analīze ir parādījusi, ka narkotikas "Kauciens" (1956) ir metafora augstākam redzējumam, apgaismotai realitātei, kuru cilvēks var sasniegt, lietojot vielas. Dzejolis parāda pilnu ceļojumu no pirmās narkotiku ekstazī līdz izmisīgajai vajadzībai pēc tām, sāpīgajai atsaukšanai un pēc tam pilnīgam trakumam. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, tika veikta teksta analīze, pārbaudot Alena Ginsberga rakstīšanas stilu un speciālās vārdnīcas izmantošanu, lai aprakstītu narkotiku lietošanu.

This paper is focused on the study of the significance of drugs in Allen Ginsberg’s poem ‘Howl’ (1956), as well as the history of the Beat Generation and drugs in American post-war society and the usage of metaphors in symbolism literature. The purpose of this paper is to thoroughly study the theory on metaphors, as well as theory on symbolism and employ this theory to extract the metaphors used to talk about drugs in Allen Ginsberg’s poem, determine the meaning of these metaphors and draw conclusions. The analysis has shown that drugs in ‘Howl’ (1956) are a metaphor for a higher vision, an illuminated reality which the person can reach by the use of substances. The poem shows a full journey from the first ecstasy of drugs to the desperate need for them, the painful withdrawal and then, complete madness. To fulfill the goal of the paper textual analysis has been carried out, examining Allen Ginsberg’s writing style and use of special vocabulary in order to describe drug use.
