Eponīmu izcelsme dermatoloģisku slimību apzīmējumos

Abstract

Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek aplūkots eponīmu izcelsme dermatoloģisku slimību apzīmējumos. Darba mērķis bija identificēt visbiežāk lietotos vārddarināšanas modeļus un eponīmu tipus ar dermatoloģiju saistītā terminoloģijā. Darba teorētiskā daļa veido pamatu pētījumam par medicīnas terminoloģijas attīstību, terminoloģijas kā zinātnes jomas un dermatoloģijas kā atsevišķas medicīnas nozares izcelsmi, eponīmu tipus un vārddarināšanas modeļus. Pētījums aplūko sešdesmit dermatoloģijas eponīmus, kā arī pamata informāciju par katru slimību, kas apkopota no piecām dermatoloģijas publikācijām. Par pētījuma metodēm tika izraudzīta jaukta kvalitatīvo un kvantitatīvo metožu pētījumā metode. Pētījuma laikā tika atklāts, ka visbiežāk lietotie eponīmu tipi ir to pirmā atklājēja vārdā nosauktie un visbiežāk lietotā vārddarināšanas metode ir vārda atstāšana bez apostrofa ‘s’. The Bachelor Thesis deals with the emergence of eponyms related to dermatological disorders. The goal of this research is to identify the most commonly used word-formation patterns and types of eponyms in dermatology related terminology. The theoretical part of the research provides background information on the emergence of terminology as a field of science, the evolution of medical terminology and dermatology as a separate field of medicine, eponyms by type, and word-formation method. The research examines sixty dermatological eponyms together with background information on each condition collected from five dermatological publications. A mixed research method of qualitative and quantitative methods was selected for the present research. During the research process, it was established that the most commonly used eponym by type in dermatology terminology is the eponyms named after their first describer and the most often used word-formation technique is leaving the name without apostrophe ‘s’.
