The topic of the bachelor's thesis "Elements of Confucianism in the etiquette of modern South Korea" was chosen based on topicality. This topic is very relevant for anyone planning to go to Korea to work, live, study or travel, as many areas of life have to deal with etiquette. Foreigners do not have a real understanding of what the South Korean etiquette is like today, because it still has Confucian elements. The bachelor's thesis is 47 pages long and consists of 3 chapters with 2-4 subsections each. The aim and task of the work was to introduce Confucian-based norms of behavior in Korea, touching on several spheres of life, such as family, work, society, language, education. Find out what historical confucian features and elements in etiquette have survived and what have transformed today. During the work, it was concluded that the Confucian elements have been preserved in several spheres of life, work, family, society, education and language. One of the key elements in the quest for a harmonious society was the division of roles, obedience to authorities and the suppression of individual interests. More and more people are moving away from their traditional Confucian values and trying to adapt them to today's realities. The rituals of the ancestors, which were performed in the Confucian style, have changed the least today, although these rituals are still experiencing simplifications.
