Mūsdienu izslēgšanas kultūras valodas korpusa analīze

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis bija uzlabot un precizēt tiešsaistes ‘izslēgšanas kultūras’ definīciju. Akadēmiski pētījumi par izslēgšanas kultūru sastopami dažādās zinātnes jomās, taču ne lingvistikā. Empīriskās pētījuma metodes ir korpuslingvistika un kritiskā diskursa analīze. Pētījuma ietvaros tiek izveidots specializēts tekstu korpuss Cancel Corpus, kurā, primāri balstoties uz korpusa datiem, analizēti atslēgvārdi, kolokācijas un vārdkopas. Atslēgvārdu un kolokāciju analīze atklāja galvenās semantiskās kategorijas Cancel Corpus. Vārdkopu analīzē redzama diskusija par izslēgšanas kultūras eksistenci un tās ietekmi. Pētījuma rezultāti ļauj izslēgšanas kultūras definīciju papildināt, taču pilnīgai definīcijai nepieciešams to pētīt dziļāk.

The aim of the paper was to work toward an improved and more accurate definition of the online phenomenon cancel culture. Academic research of cancel culture comes from different sciences; however, there is no available research to date in linguistics. The empirical methods used in the study were corpus linguistics and critical discourse analysis. The current study builds a specialized Cancel Corpus and analyzes keywords, collocations, and lexical bundles therein employing a corpus-driven approach. Keyword and collocation analysis showed the main semantic categories in the Cancel Corpus. An analysis of lexical bundles showed a debate on the existence and extent of the impact of the phenomenon. The study allows for initial supplementation of the existing definitions of cancel culture, but more research is still needed in the field.
