Abstract

Ir svarīgi analizēt tīmekļa vietnēs lietoto valodu, lai saprastu, kā valoda attīstās un kā tiek radīti jauni vārdi. Jaunvārdi ilustrē izmaiņas sabiedrībā, zinātnē un tehnoloģijā. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kurā izvēlētajā mājaslapā ir visvairāk jaunvārdu. Pētījuma metodes ir literatūras apskats, satura un tekstuālā analīze un vārda biežuma analīze. Google tendences tiek izmantotas kā izpētes rīks, lai atrastu jaunvārdu meklēšanas biežumu. Pētījumu rezultāti parādīja, ka izvēlētajos NASA preses paziņojumos un prezidenta Zelenska runās nebija neviena jaunvārda, bet Buzzfeed News raksti satur vairākus jaunvārdus. NASA preses paziņojumi satur terminus, frāzes. Buzzfeed News raksti un Zelenska runas sastāv no dažādām lingvistiskiem līdzekļiem, piemēram, retoriskus jautājumus, metaforas.

It is important to analyse the language used in websites to understand how language develops and how new words are coined. Neologisms illustrate changes in society, science, and technology. The goal of the thesis is to find out which chosen webpage contains the most neologisms. Research methods are literature review, content and textual analysis, and word frequency analysis. Google trends are used as a research tool to find the search frequency of neologisms. Research results demonstrated that the selected NASA press releases and President Zelenskyy speeches did not contain any neologisms, but Buzzfeed News articles contain multiple neologisms. NASA press releases contain terms, phrases. Buzzfeed News articles and Zelenskyy’s speeches consist of various linguistic devices, for example, rhetorical questions, metaphors.
