Nakts un rītausma Vergilija eposā Aineida

Abstract

Bakalaura darba Nakts un rītausma Vergilija eposā Aineida mērķis ir izpētīt un novērtēt nakts un rītausmas laika apzīmējumu jēdzienisko nozīmi un lingvostilistisko izmantojumu Vergilija eposā. Mērķa sasniegšanai tika aplūkotas gan antīko, gan mūsdienu teorētiķu atziņas par episkās dzejas iezīmēm, kā arī laika aspektu episkajā dzejā. Darba autors pētīja gan hronoloģiskus, gan metaforiskus nakts aprakstus. Pētot rītausmu, tika akcentēts gan leksēmas dies izmantojums saistībā ar rītausmu, gan Auroras atainojums. Izpētes laikā tika atklāts, ka nakts eposa kontekstā saistās ar atpūtu, pārdomām, kā arī draudiem. Rītausmai, it īpaši Aurorai, ir redzama sasaiste ar Itāliju, taču Aurorai Aineidā tiek piešķirta arī posta nesējas un nāves vēstneses loma. Tika atklāts arī, ka leksēma dies var eposā tikt saistīta ar rītausmu caur epitetu izmantojumu, kā arī Rīta zvaigznes un Auroras pieminējumu.

The aim of the bachelor’s thesis Night and Dawn in Virgil’s Epic Poem Aeneid is to explore and evaluate the conceptual meaning and linguo-stylistic usage of temporal expressions denoting night and dawn in Virgil’s epic. In order to achieve this aim the author studied the conclusions of both ancient and contemporary theoreticians regarding the characteristics of epic poetry, as well as the aspect of time in epic poetry. The author researched both the usage of chronological night, as well as metaphorical night. In regard to the depictions of dawn, the author focused on the usage of the lexeme dies in connection to dawn, as well as depictions of Aurora. During this research it was discovered that night in the context of the poem is associated with rest, worry, as well as threats. Dawn, especially Aurora, is connected to Italy, but Aurora in the Aeneid is also depicted as a bringer of destruction and a harbinger of death. It was also discovered that the lexeme dies can be used to depict dawn through the usage of epithets, as well as the mention of the Morning star and Aurora.
