M.Bulgakova romāns „Meistars un Margarita” latviešu tulkojumos.

Abstract

Darbs literārā tulkojuma problēmu izpētei. Darbā aplūkoti dzejnieka un tulkotāja O. Vācieša aplūkots M. Bulgakova romāna „Meistars un Margarita” tulkojums latviešu valodā, kā arī nezināma autora periodikā publicētais 18.nodaļas tulkojums. Pētījuma mērķis ir noteikt visbiežāk izmantotus tulkojuma paņēmienus. Pētījuma pamatā ir sastatāmi salīdzinošā metode. Īpaša uzmanība darbā veltīta dažādām transformācijām, kas ir saistītas ar netulkojamības problēmu. Darbs sastāv no trim nodaļām. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek saistiītas pētījuma teorētiskie aspekti – daiļliteratūras teksta tulkošanas problēmas un metodes. Otrajā nodaļā aplūkotas O. Vācieša kā tulkotaja īpatnības. Trešajā nodaļā praktiski analizētas izskatītas M. Bulgakova romāna tulkošanas stratēģijas. Pētījums var būt interesants filologiem un tulkotājiem, kā arī lasītājiem, kas grib izpētīt romāna „Meistars un Margarita” tulkošanas problēmas.

The master’s thesis is devoted to a comprehensive study of translation methods. The thesis examines the translation of the novel “The Master and Margarita” by M. Bulgakov into the Latvian language, made by a poet and a translator O. Vacietis and translation of chapter 18 by unknown translator. The goal of the master’s thesis is to identify the most useful methods of translation. The comparative method has been used to achieve the goal. The particular attention is paid to various transformations associated with the issue of the untranslability of novel. The master’s thesis consists of three parts. The first part highlights the theoretical aspects of the research, as well as problems and methods of novel translation. In the second part consists of analysis of O.Vacietis’ translator skills. In the third part (empirical) reveals the translating strategies of the novel “The Master and Margarita”. The master’s thesis might appeal to professionals working in the sphere of the novel translation, as well as to all readers interested in researching “Master and Margarita” translation issues.
