Homoseksualitāte Tomasa Manna darba "Nāve Venēcijā"

Abstract

Tomasa Manna romāna Nāve Venēcijā galvenā varoņa Gustava fon Ašenbaha iekšējā drāma ir viena no noveles galvenajām interesēm. Varonis tiek attēlots kā izcils vācu rakstnieks nobriedušā vecumā, kurš ierodas Itālijas pilsētā Venēcijā un pēkšņi viņu apsēdis daudz jaunāks vīrietis, kamēr varonis bēgot piedzīvo krīzi, sevis atklāšanu un galu galā iznīcību. Savā darbā es vēlos koncentrēties uz homoerotismu un galvenā varoņa pederastikas tēmu. Manā darbā tiks ņemta vērā homoerotisma vēsturiskā poētika, Gustava fon Ašenbaha dzīve un viņa ceļojuma uz Venēciju analīze. Interesanti, ka šogad aprit tieši 110 gadi kopš romāna izdošanas. Lai gan romānā publicētā darba esamība nav tik šokējoša kā tā iznākšanas brīdī, savā darbā vēlos aplūkot arī vēsturisko fonu un tā laika sabiedrības attieksmi pret homoseksualitāti.

IN DER ENGLISCHEN SPRACHE The inner drama of Gustav von Aschenbach, the protagonist of Thomas Mann's novel Death in Venice, is one of the novella's main interests. The hero is portrayed as an eminent German writer of mature age who arrives in the Italian city of Venice and is suddenly possessed by a much younger man; while on the run the hero experiences crisis, self-discovery and ultimately - destruction. In my work author focuses on the subject of homoeroticism and pederasty of the protagonist. The work will take into account the historical poetics of homoeroticism, the life of Gustav von Aschenbach and the analysis of his trip to Venice. It is worth noting that on the year of writing this work it is exactly 110 years since the publication of the novella. While the existence of the work published in the novel is not as shocking as it was at the time of its publication, in her work author would like to consider the historical background and society's attitudes towards homosexuality at the time
