Latviešu trimdas darbība Baltijas jautājuma aktualizācijā EDSA konferencēs 1975-1983

Abstract

Maģistra darbs “Latviešu Trimdas darbība Baltijas jautājuma aktualizācijā EDSA konferencēs 1975-1983” analizē Trimdas politiskās aktivitātes EDSA konferenču norises vietās. Pētījums par Trimdas politiskajām aktivitātēm balstīta Latvijas Valsts arhīvu materiālos, izmantoti arī iepriekš nepublicēti un nepētīti dokumentālie avoti. Darbā izmantota zinātniskā literatūra par Baltijas jautājumu, EDSA procesu un Trimdas kopienas izveidošanos. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot Trimdas nozīmi Baltijas jautājuma aktualizācijā. Secināts, ka Trimdas nozīme Baltijas jautājuma aktualizācijā ir būtiska. Trimda kā latvietības un neatkarības ideju uzturētājs Aukstā perioda periodā, ir svarīgs pētniecības objekts. Trimdas loma neatkarības atjaunošanas procesā ir nepietiekami pētīts un nenovērtēts jautājums.

The master's thesis “The actions of the Latvian Exile to promote the Baltic question at the OSCE conferences 1975-1983” analyzes the political activities of the Exile at the OSCE. The research on the political activities of the Exile is based on the materials of the State Archives of Latvia, previously unpublished and unresearched sources are used.In thesis literature on the Baltic question, the OSCE and the formation of the Exile community is used. The aim of the thesis is to establish the importance of Exile in promoting the Baltic question. The conclusion is that the importance of Exile is essential. Latvian Exile during the Cold War supported the idea of independent Latvia and promoted the Latvian culture. The role of Exile in the process of restoration of Latvia’s independence is an understudied and underappreciated issue.
